Connell Funeral Home of Bethlehem, established in 1919, and Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory of Hellertown and Pennsburg, established in 1955, are uniting under the Connell Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory banner, representing 175 years of combined service to the Lehigh Valley, Saucon Valley, Upper Perkiomen Valley and surrounding areas.

Connell Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. represents the union of two deeply respected family-run funeral homes, each with a long-standing tradition of compassionate care and community service.

Connell Funeral Home: A Century of Dedication

Founded in 1919 by Francis J. Connell, Sr., Connell Funeral Home began its journey in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, with a simple but powerful philosophy: to serve with true care, concern, and compassion. Over the decades, the Connell family expanded their services, opening a second location in 1952 and welcoming successive generations, Francis J. Connell, Jr., Patrick Connell, Eugene Connell, and now the fourth generation including Matthew, Jamie, and John Connell. Their commitment to excellence and empathy has made Connell Funeral Home a cornerstone of the Lehigh Valley community. 

Falk Funeral Homes: A Heritage of Personal Service

The Falk legacy began in 1955 when Franklin and Betty Falk transformed a home and barn in Hellertown into a warm, welcoming funeral home. Franklin, a WWII veteran and mortuary school graduate, believed in offering grieving families personal service in a comfortable setting. Their dedication continued through their son Frank and his wife Donna, who expanded the Pennsburg location in 1999 and the Hellertown facility in 2003, adding an on-site crematory and preserving classic architectural details. Falk Funeral Homes embraced traditional values while innovating to meet modern needs, offering personalized funeral and memorial services, cremation options, and celebrant services, all with a focus on dignity, respect, and healing.

In a natural progression of shared values and community commitment, Connell Funeral Home united with Falk Funeral Homes, forming Connell Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, Inc. This union honors the legacy of both families while expanding the reach and resources available to the communities they serve. Together, we continue to uphold the ideals of our founders, providing heartfelt care, professional guidance, and meaningful services that celebrate life and support healing.
