Zoraida De Armas

Zoraida de Armas, 96, formerly of Easton, passed away February 7, 2014. She was the widow of Gustavo de Armas. Born in Jovellanos, Cuba, she was a daughter of the late Santiago Debrás Iglesias and María (Hernández) Debrás. She was a seamstress at the former Strong Wear Pants Factory, Easton for many years. Zoraida was a member of the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Wilson Borough. Prior to coming to the U.S. in 1962, following the revolution in Cuba, she had her own pharmacy in Havana. Surviving is a son, Gustavo Victor de Armas, and his wife, Patricia, of Easton; and 3 grandchildren: Margot Pelonero and husband Keith, Jonathan de Armas, residing in Florida and Justin de Armas in Albany, NY. Besides her husband she was pre-deceased by 8 brothers and sisters. Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements.
