Yolan Roseman

Yolan (Mar) Roseman, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, March 9, 2008 at the Blough Nursing Center. She was the widow of Joseph C. Roseman, who died November 1, 1969. Born February 22, 1920 in Bethlehem, she was a daughter of the late George and Ida (Horvath) Mar. She worked in her family’s restaurant, Mar’s Café, in Bethlehem in the 1930’s and 1940’s; at Zaun’s Market, South Bethlehem, in the 1950’s; and in the Liberty High School cafeteria in the 1970’s. Mrs. Roseman was of the Lutheran faith, and was a former member of St. John’s Windish Evangelical Lutheran Church, Bethlehem. She was a past Cub Scout Den Leader; and a member of the Wives of Professional Engineers of the Lehigh Valley and of the Hungarian Catholic Club Auxiliary. Surviving are sons: Joseph C. Roseman III, and his wife, Linda, of Winchester, VA; and Stephen G. Roseman, and his wife, Frances, of Lower Saucon Township; and grandsons: Michael, and wife, Kristen, of Lower Macungie Twp.; and David, and his fiancé, Luci Phelps, of Elkton, MD; Joseph IV, of Reston, VA; and Andrew, of Winchester, VA. She was pre-deceased by a brother, Steve Mar in 1998. Services will be private. No calling hours. Interment will be at Holy Saviour Cemetery, Bethlehem. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Assn., 501 N. 17th St., Suite 212, Allentown, PA 18104.
