Woodrow Lesher

March 27, 1922 — February 6, 2008

Woodrow D. Lesher, 85, of Palm, died February 6, 2008. He was the husband of Doris S. (Diehl) Lesher. They were married 61 years last October. Born in Palm, he was a son of the late Evan and Mabel (Mest) Lesher. He was a Navy veteran of WWII, serving in the European Theatre. He began his career working at the former Bethlehem Steel, Bethlehem. Then, he owned Lesher TV in Palm from 1952 until retiring in 1983. After retirement, he drove bus in the Upper Perkiomen School District. He was a member of Huffs Union Church, Alburtis, where he was a former choir member and Sunday School teacher. He was a former member of the Dutch Players, Huffs Church. Surviving: Wife, son, Ronald, of Palm, and a granddaughter, Nancy Lesher, of Northampton, aunts, Sara Bickel and Mildred Lauck, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services: Graveside at 11 AM on Monday at Huffs Union Cemetery. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
