Willie Jones

Willie Williams Jones, 83, of Bethlehem, died September 29, 2008. He was the devoted husband of Carol Ann (Taylor) Jones. Born in Durham, NC, he was a son of the late Willie and Sadie (Wilkins) Jones. Willie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son-in-law and brother-in-law who cared deeply for his family. Willie served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked for the Teamsters Local 522 and was Vice-President of the Queens, NY and Elizabeth, NJ local offices. He was active in his community as a board member of the former New Jersey Health Care Center and a board member and fundraiser for Deborah Hospital. He also coordinated Poor People’s Campaigns for Martin Luther King, Jr., and was Recording Secretary of the South Jersey Community Union. Survivors: Along with his dearly loved wife, Carol Ann, he is survived by sons: Nathaniel, Kenneth, Michael, Willie and Sean; daughters: Priscilla, Darolyn and Pia; 19 beloved grandchildren, especially Chantal, to whom he was closest, 19 great grand-children; and his mother-in-law, Annie Taylor.
