William Weikel

William S. Weikel, 58, of East Greenville, died May 6, 2010. The beloved husband of Carol (Leister) Weikel, they would have celebrated their 29th anniversary on May 8th. Born in Pottstown, he was a son of Elizabeth (Thomas) Weikel of Pennsburg, and the late Richard F. Weikel. He was a plant operator at Glasgow, Inc, in Glenside before becoming ill. Prior to that, he was employed at Highway Materials for 26 years. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen United Church of Christ, East Greenville. He was also a past consistory president and past Sunday School teacher at Pennsburg UCC. He was an avid NASCAR fan. Survivors: wife and mother; step-children: son, Daniel J. Hyra, Jr. and his fiancé Robyn, of Bridgewater, NJ; daughter, Andrea, wife of John Wasilko, of Walnutport; brothers, Richard and his wife, Joanne of NC; Christopher and his wife, Janet, of East Greenville; and Joseph and his wife, Snezana, of NY; a sister, Mary, wife of Dean Krouse, of East Greenville; and 6 grandchildren: David and Katie Wasilko, Olivia and Sofia Hyra, and Alexandra and Trevor Freeman.
