William Stevens

William C. Stevens, 85, formerly of East Greenville, died August 21, 2009. He was the husband of Betty (Smith) Stevens. They were married 61 years this past February. Born in Corning, he was a son of the late Charles E. and Della (Heistand) Stevens. He was employed at the former Firestone Rubber Co., Pottstown for 43 years. After that, he was a crossing guard in East Greenville. He was a member of New Goshenhoppen UCC, the East Greenville Fire Co., where he was a Fire Policeman, and the Upper Perkiomen Senior Citizen’s Center. He began a youth Bowling League at the Fire House in the 1960’s. Surviving with his wife, is a son, William, and his wife, Terry, of Rockledge, PA; grandchildren: Jessica, Cody, and Rachael; and a brother, Harold, and his wife, Thelma, of Irvine, CA. Memorial Services will be on Tuesday at 10 AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. Interment to follow at New Goshenhoppen Cemetery.
