William Stanislav Sheldon, 36, passed away on February 9, 2026. He was the son of Bob and Beth Sheldon. He was born in Tomsk, Russia and resided in Quakertown.
He attended schools in the UPSD and participated in sports, including being on the 2006 state wrestling championship team. After completing high school, he served in the US Marine Corps from 2008-2016 reaching the rank of Sergeant. Born to think outside of the box and figure out problems, he became a Marine diesel mechanic.
Will loved being a Marine and serving his country, so that civilians could live the "American Dream". His true family was the Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged in 2016, he continued to serve by assisting fellow veterans whenever possible.
He loved fishing with friends, especially for catfish, followed by grilling meals. Another source of fellowship was playing pool with friends, which lead to playing in a pool tournament league.
Will worked for a couple of local businesses as a diesel mechanic working primarily on big trucks and equipment.
Sadly, Will suffered from a Traumatic Brain Injury and PTSD from his two deployments. Although Will's death is a terrible loss for his family, we are comforted knowing he is at peace and with his Lord and Savior.
A Celebration of Life service is scheduled for April 18th at 11 am at Finland Mennonite Church, 1750 Zeigler Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project.
