William Raymond Lunn, Jr., a first-rate colorful character known for his sense of humor and passion for talking politics, died January 26, 2010 at age 86 after falling ill at his home in Hereford. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late William R. and Effie G. (Marshall) Lunn. He was the husband of his beloved Beatrice (Houston) Lunn, who died in 1992. An electrician, he spent his career at PECO. Bill was happiest telling stories of his days as a pilot in the Army Air Corps during WWII, or solving the world’s problems over lunch at Angelo’s restaurant in New Berlinville. Given to answering the phone “County jail,” Bill eschewed most modern technology, joking that he’d ‘get into too much trouble’ on the Internet. He had a ‘live and let live’ philosophy that respected people’s differences and a curiosity that drove him to ponder life’s big questions. Survivor: sister, Marianne Lunn of the Poconos. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Adele Snyder. Services: will be 10 AM on Monday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St., Pennsburg, PA. A calling hour will be from 9-10 AM at the funeral home. For directions or to leave condolences visit www.falkfuneralhomes.com. Contributions: The Arthritis Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
