William Johnson

William C. Johnson, 90, of 502 Singer Way, Red Hill, PA 18076 and formerly of Emporium, PA, died November 2, 2011 at St. Lukes Quakertown Hospital. He was the beloved husband of Ruth E. (Worrell) Johnson for 67 years. Born in Varmland, Sweden he was a son of the late Carl O. and Bertha (Erickson) Johnson. He retired in 1980 from Sylvania. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and Little League umpiring. He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Emporium, the Bucktail Rod & Gun Club as well as the Men's Club in Cameron County. Surviving with his wife are his sons, Gary M. and his wife Carole A. Johnson of Westport, MA and Roger W. and his wife Ginny A. Johnson of East Greenville, PA; his grandchildren: Scott Boan, Jill Brill, Brian Johnson and Robin Giuliano and his brother Donald Johnson of Smethport. He is preceded in death by his siblings Lawrence and Ingrid Johnson. Services will be held privately at the family's convenience.
