William C. “Bob” Hale, 69, of Hereford, and formerly of Lansdale, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on December 30, 2009. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (D’Angelo) Hale. They celebrated 48 years of marriage in September. Born in Betsy Lane, KY, he was a son of late Charles and Betsy Hale. He was a setup and machine operator for SPS in Jenkintown and then Hatfield from 1968 until the plant closed. Bob was an auto racing fan and was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Surviving with his wife are sons, Robert Hale and his wife Debra of Pennsburg, and Michael Charles Hale of Reading; a daughter Kimberly Ann Hale Hoffman of East Greenville, and a daughter-in-law Theresa Hale of Pennsburg; grandchildren Michelle, Chrissy, Michael, Nick, Julia, Olivia, Leah, Matt, and Liam; and a brother, Charles and his wife Lisa of Cherry Hill. He was preceded in death by a brother Bill, and sisters: Beulah, Opal, and Reba. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Wednesday, January 6, at the Falk Funeral Home & Crematory, 163 Main St., Pennsburg.
