“Bill” Brey, 79, of Red Hill, died October 3, 2009. He was the beloved companion of Mary Jane Schaeffer and the widower of Dorothy (O’Conner) Brey. Born in Green Lane, he was a son of the late Hiram and Eva (Kline) Brey. He served his country honorably in the Army during the Korean War. Bill worked for Knoll International in East Greenville in many capacities in the upholstering department and as Manager of Field Service immediately prior to retirement. He was a member of St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Red Hill. He was also a member of Owl’s Nest #1302 in East Greenville and Post #184 of the American Legion, Palm. Surviving with his companion are two daughters, Dr. Robin Brey-Holliday wife of Dr. Steven Holliday of San Antonio, TX, and Lori wife of Michael Ackerman of Fleetwood, PA; Brothers: Hiram and his wife Doris of Harleysville, David and his wife Helen of Gilbertsville; sisters: Edith wife of Leroy Stevens of Pennsburg, Nancy wife of Curt Haas of Boyertown, Esther wife of Donald Wood of Tuscon, AZ, and Judy wife of Jerry Spivey of Big Springs, TX; five granddaughters; and three great grandsons. He was preceded in death by a brother Leroy, a sister Ellen, and a son Robert. Services: 11 a.m., Wednesday, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, 1244 St. Paul’s Church Rd., Pennsburg. Visitation will be in church Fellowship Hall from 9:30 a.m. until the service in the Sanctuary. Interment with military honors will be 10 a.m., Friday in the church cemetery.
