William Bernhard, 80, of Hill Road, Perkiomenville, died July 9, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital, Quakertown. He was the husband of Faye (Schmoyer) Bernhard. They were married 56 years this past January. Born in Green Lane, he was a son of the late William and Estella (Zepp) Bernhard. He served his country honorably in the Navy during the Korean War. He was employed in the Maintenance Department at the Cabot Corporation, Boyertown for over 20 years. He was a member of Friedens United Church of Christ, Sumneytown. He was also a member of the Green Lane Fire Co. and the American Legion, Post #184, Palm. Surviving with his wife, are children: Susan, wife of Randy Lorish, of Perkiomenville; Joel Bernhard, and his wife, Jane, of Pennsburg; Ty Bernhard, and his wife, Deborah, of Havertown, PA; and Melissa, wife of Joseph Seasholtz, of Gilbertsville; a half brother, Kenneth Souder, of Perkiomenville; 9 grandchildren: Randy II, Holly, Timothy, Eli, Erica, Sarah, Joshua, Morgan, and Logan; 4 great-grandchildren: Caitlin, Kelsey, Brandy, and Christopher; and a great-great-granddaughter: Adrianna. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Linwood "Butch" Bernhard. Services: will be at 11 AM on Friday at Friedens United Church of Christ, Sumneytown. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM Friday at the church. Interment will follow at Friedens Union Cemetery. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangments.
