William Bennett

William A. Bennett Sr., 81, of Barto, passed away September 13, 2017. He was the beloved husband of Beatrice (deFuria) Bennett, and the late Dorothy (Whitehead) Bennett. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late John K. and Emma Mae (Flick) Bennett. Bill was a carpenter as a partner in E.H. Jenkins Builders, Narberth, until retiring in 1989. He .was an avid golfer and fisherman. He was a member of the Lower Merion Rod & Gun Club, and was a Three Time Club Champion at Cornwell’s Country Club, Bensalem. Surviving with his wife of 21 years, are his children: William Jr., and his wife, Cindy, of Pennsburg; and Karen Juzbasic, of Mertztown; step-children: Carrie, wife of Thomas Romanus, of Chalfont; and Tara, wife of Christopher Gorman, of Bernville; brothers: John K., and his wife Barbara of Hampden, MA; and Russell, and his wife, Carol, of Chicopee, MA; and 8 grandchildren: Austin, Blake, Amanda, Jonathan, Ryan, Zachary, Abigail & Kirsten. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Donald. Memorial Services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. Friends may gather from 1-2 PM.
