Willard Schoenly

February 16, 1925 — January 4, 2014

Willard M. Schoenly, 88, formerly of Green Lane, past away January 4, 2014. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Ruth) Schoenly, and the companion of Glenna Lahr. Born in Frederick, PA, he was a son of the late Rufus and Emma (Miller) Schoenly. Willard was an Army veteran of WWII. He was a truck driver, retiring from Zerns Garage. He was a member of Zion's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Zionsville, and a lifetime member of the Gilbertville Fire Company. Surviving with his companion, are sisters: Nancy, wife of Samuel Christy, of Harleysville; Alice Lucarelli, of Boyertown; and Margie Akins, of Gilbertsville; and nieces & nephews. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Paul Schoenly and Ethel Gaugler. Services will be at 2 PM on Thursday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg. A viewing will be from 1-2 PM. Burial will be private. Contributions: may be made in his memory to the SPCA, 1059 Swedesford Road, Perkiomenville, PA 18074.
