Wilford Eppler

Wilford E. Eppler, also known as Tex Carson, passed away November 30, 2014. He was the husband of Carrie (Wolf) Eppler. They were married 72 years in October. Born in East Greenville, he was a son of the late Augustus and Anna Mary (Soffa) Eppler. Tex was a handyman and a country musician. He attended Hosensack E.C. Church. Tex was a past treasurer of the Hereford Gun Club; and a member of the Racoon Club, Northampton, the Retreads Motorcycle Club, Lancaster, the Pennsburg, East Greenville and Red Hill Fire Companies. Surviving with his wife, are children: Shirley, wife of Paul Myers, of Palm; Dolores Lick, of Pennsburg; and Wilford Jr., and his wife, Jayana, of Hereford; 6 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great-grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Harold, and a grandson, Wayne Press. Services will be 11 AM Friday at the Falk Funeral Home, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, with viewing from 9 am.
