Wendy Eschbach

April 11, 1960 — June 1, 2020

Wendy Jane Eschbach (Gehret) of East Greenville went to meet her Savior face to face on Monday, June 1st, 2020. She was born on April 11, 1960 in Sellersville and was the beloved wife of Rod Gehret. Wendy most recently worked as a Transition Organizer for Alderfer Auction, prior to that she worked at the front desk of the YMCA and earlier in her life she was the co-owner of the Upper Perk Golf Course. She loved and faithfully served as a member of Upper Perkiomen Community Church. Wendy loved people. The people in the Upper Perk Valley, where she was born and lived, were some of her favorites. Everyone she met knew Wendy genuinely cared for them. She invested in people and deeply desired that they would personally know Christ and be passionate followers of Him. Her life exhibited that desire in everything she did. She was the daughter of the late Willis Eschbach and Geraldine (Schmoyer) Eshbach. Along with her husband she is survived by a brother: Ricky Eschbach of Sanford, NC, and her sister: Linda Horbonis and her husband Stephen of Pennsburg. There are also many other cherished extended family members that she leaves behind. Her funeral service can be viewed live on the Upper Perk Community Church Facebook page at 7 pm Thursday June 11. An Open House Celebration of life will be hosted by Rod on Saturday June 27 from 2-5 pm. The location will be posted on Wendy’s Facebook page and the Upper Perk Community Church website as we get closer to that date. Contributions may be made in her memory to Off the Wall ministries (otwdiscipleship.org) or to missionaries Ben & Nely Fortney in Honduras (https://www.aplos.com/aws/give/LegacyMissionInternational/fortney). Both of these ministries were very close to her heart. To offer online condolences to the family, visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
