Wayne Price

Wayne D. Price, 98, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Marian Louise (Ruffner) Price. They celebrated 70 years of marriage in December. Born and raised in Johnstown, he was a son of the late Edward and Mamie (Fite) Price. He served his country honorably as a Captain in the Army during WWII and fought in the Normandy Invasion. Following his service, he received a BS in Business Administration from the University of Pittsburgh in 1947. He retired from Gardner Cryogenics, now Air Products. He was a charter member of Mountainview Moravian Church. He was very active in Masonry, belonging to Bethlehem Lodge #283, F. & A. M., and Lehigh Consistory; and was also a member of the Hellertown Lions Club. Wayne served on the Hellertown / Lower Saucon School Board from 1957 – 1963. Survivors: Wife; sons: Wayne of Lower Saucon Twp.; and Richard, and his wife Johanna, of Hellertown; five grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings: Harold, Lynn, John, Ruth, and Jean. Services: A viewing will be held from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday at the Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. Masonic services will be held at 7:45 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Mountainview Moravian Church, 331 Constitution Ave., Hellertown.
