Walter Helinsky, 92, of Allentown, passed away May 27, 2015. He was the beloved husband of the late Albertina (Hottenstein) Helinsky. Born in Bethlehem, he was one of 17 children of the late Frank and Katherine (Schultz) Helinsky. Walter was a WWII veteran, serving with the 153rd Army Engineers in New Guinea. He was a charter member of the Veteran's Assn, Washington D.C., and a member of the National WWII Memorial. He was a member of Grace United Church of Christ, Allentown. Walter was employed at the Good Shepherd Home, Allentown for many years. Surviving are daughters: Linda, wife of Morry Kapitan, of Forked River, NJ; Mariann Richards, of New Ringgold; and Diane Albright, of Fogelsville; grandchildren: Heather, Michael, Angela, Anthony, Jason, Christopher, Matthew, and Jessica; and great grandchildren: Richi, Cyrus, Sadie, Giuliana, and Genavieve. Memorial Services will be at Noon on Saturday, June 6th at Grace UCC, 623 Cleveland St., Allentown. Call from 11-12 at church.
