Virginia Moyer

Virginia R. Moyer, 90, formerly of Breinigsville, passed away September 12, 2013. She was the widow of Calvin R. Moyer. Born in Emmaus, she was a daughter of the late Llewellyn and Mary R. (Knauss) Haines. She was a 1941 graduate of Emmaus High School, and a life-long member of the Emmaus Moravian Church. Virginia was employed by the former Freihoffer Bakery, Allentown before retiring. Prior to that, she was employed at the former Emmaus Shirt Factory for 10 years. She began her career in the cafeteria of the Jefferson Elementary School in the East Penn School District for 17 years. Surviving is a son, Robert C. Moyer, of Breinigsville; grandchildren: Tammy Ragonese, and Shannon McNeil; 6 great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Helen Moyer, of Coopersburg; and nieces & nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers, Howard and Franklin Haines. Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
