Virgil H. "Slim" Rosenberger, 76 of Pennsburg, died Friday, July 13, 2007 at home. He was born March 28, 1931 in Richland Township. He was preceded in death by Beatrice, his wife of 51 years. Virgil was in the armed services from 1952-1954. Prior to retirement, Virgil worked for 45 years as a machinist with the Ametek US Gauge Division in Sellersville. He took pride in being a hard worker to support his large family. He was an amazing gardener. His entire family shared in canning and freezing many fruits and vegetables each year. Throughout his life, he enjoyed carpentry and farming that he learned while growing up on a 24-acre farm. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching sports, especially football. Virgil loved animals and he enjoyed watching and feeding the birds. His family will miss him dearly. Virgil is survived by his children: Sherry Clewel, wife of Jim Skubic of Allentown, Brenda, wife of Phil Caries of Massachusetts, Valerie, wife of Roger Molettiere of Hatfield, Steve Rosenberger and Lisa Rosenberger of Pennsburg; Susan, wife of Charles Stewart of Delaware. Services are private at the request of the family.
