“Happy Trails to Verna”
Verna loved all creatures great and small.
Verna Richart born January 4, 1952, in Bloomsburg, PA, died February 27, 2025, in her home in Perkiomenville, PA after a long battle with Vasculitis and Cancer.
By profession, Verna was a Registered Nurse working 40 years in many fields of medicine. But Verna’s passion was giving love and care to critters. She loved, nurtured, fed and rescued them all, and received much joy from her service. Verna asked you to remember her when a dog barks, a cat purrs, or a bird sings. Remember her when a burro or horse nickers, a deer stares from the woods or a fox appears with her kit while looking for snacks always supplied by Verna.
A life well lived.
Verna is survived by her mother, Shirley Foust, of Fort Myers, FL; her siblings: Edward Ludlow and his wife, Laurie, of Casselberry, FL; Deborah Anderson and her husband Fred of Fort Myers, FL; Alyce Troiani, of Phoenixville, PA, and Richard Ludlow and his wife, Beth of Gambrills, MD; her aunt, Patricia Hopper, of Phoenixville; and nephews: Brandon Vielhauer of Perkiomenville, Samuel Vielhauer of Bridgeport, and Justin Schnovel of Sanatoga.
A Celebration of her Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to the Last Chance Ranch, 9 Beck Road, Quakertown, PA 18951. To offer online condolences, please visit her “Book of Memories” at falkfuneralhomes.com.
