Vera Pflieger

Vera G. (Harley) Pflieger, 91, formerly of Pennsburg, died Thursday, January 14, 2010 at Mosser Nursing Home in Trex¬lertown. She was the widow of Dr. Linwood Pflieger who passed away in 1996. Born in East Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Ellen (Hillegas) Harley. Vera was a graduate of Ursinus College. She spent her life as a homemaker caring for her family. Survivors: daughters: Bonnie Lynn, wife of Thomas Spicer, of Cherokee, IA; and Jane Ellen, wife of Dean Wetherhold, of Macungie; a sister, Rita Walker of Frederick, PA; 5 grandchil¬dren: Heather, Barbara, Christopher, Eric, and Megan; and 9 great grandchildren: Bailey, Alyssa, Jamie, Logan, Christian, Michael, Isis, Mason, and Erica. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Matthew. Services: will be held at 2:30pm on Monday, at New Goshenhoppen U.C.C. Cemetery.
