Timothy Wayne Smith

Timothy Smith,73, went to his eternal home in Heaven on Friday, September 4, 2026, surrounded by his beloved wife and three sons.

Tim was the son of Clark and Arlene Smith. He was born and raised in Pen Argyl, Pennsylvania, and for more than 45 years made his home in the Upper Perkiomen Valley, where he built a life centered around his family, his faith, and serving others. He owned and operated his own roofing company for 40 years, taking great pride in his work and always striving to do his very best for his customers. He served for a brief time as an interim pastor in Weatherly, Pennsylvania, and later worked as a realtor with Brode and Brooks in Pennsburg, Pennsylvania.

Tim's greatest joy was his family. He loved spending time with them and treasured every opportunity to make memories together. He is survived by his wife, Cherie, with whom he shared 51 precious years of marriage; his three sons, Todd Smith and his wife Kristina, Jason Smith and his wife, Jessica and Jeff Smith and his wife, Amanda; seven grandchildren, Caleb and his wife, Louisa, Karis and her husband, Gio, Ty, Alana, Alexis, Taylor and Chase; one great-great-granddaughter, Magnolia; his siblings, Henry Smith, Carol Counterman, Lila Zelko and Eileen Ziegenfuse; mother in law, Geraldine Lewis and her husband, Bob and sister in laws, Beth Salter and Sandy Gilroy and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Kerry Smith and Donald Smith.

Tim had many things he enjoyed in life. He loved hunting and spending time with the people he loved. More recently, one of his special joys was running 5K races alongside his wife, making memories and sharing those moments together.

Above all else, Tim loved his Savior, Jesus Christ. His faith was the foundation of his life, and he never hesitated to share his love for the Lord with everyone he met. His greatest desire was that others would know the hope and love he had found in Christ.

Tim leaves behind a legacy that goes far beyond the work he did or the things he accomplished. His love, his faith, his kindness, and the example he set will continue through his family for generations to come.

He will be deeply missed, but we find comfort knowing that he is now home with his Savior.

A private service for immediate family will be held on Friday, September 11, 2026. A Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 10, 2026 at 10:30 a.m. at Salem Bible Church, 8031 Salem Bible Church Rd. Macungie, PA 18062. A visitation will take prior to the Celebration of Life from 9-10:30 a.m. in the Church.
