Thomas Sherwood Mudd

Thomas Sherwood Mudd, 81, of Quakertown, passed away August 30, 2022. Born in Abington, he was the son of the late F. Thomas & Dorothy (Pease) Mudd. Tom retired after a lengthy career at Acme Markets as a Produce Manager. As a young man, he was in the National Guard, volunteer fireman and he enjoyed racing hot rods, riding motorcycles and listening to the music of the 60's and 70's. He was a lifelong fan of all Philadelphia sports teams. He enjoyed decorating for the holidays-especially Halloween and Christmas and having his family around.

Surviving are children: Julie, wife of Jason Heffentrager, of Barto, Sherri Weber, of Hereford, and Thomas Mudd II, of Quakertown; grandchildren: Thomas Basmajian, Jacob Mudd, and Caleb Foreman; a sister: Dorothy Hales of Las Cruces, MN; sister-in-law, Sue Mudd of Virginia Beach, VA; nieces, nephews and his beloved cat, Charlie. He was pre-deceased by his life partner, Beth Hilbert; his brothers: Richard and H. Jeffrey Mudd; brother-in-law, Thomas Hales and nephew, Wayne Hales.

Services will be held privately. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, is in charge of arrangements.
