Thomas “Tom” G. Delaney Jr., 81, of Pennsburg passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 22nd, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie (Ricci) Delaney. They celebrated 61 years of marriage in April. Born in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Thomas and Mildred (Scargill) Delaney. Tom worked as a lineman for Verizon, formerly Bell of PA, for 30 years before retiring. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church & Ministries in Lansdale where he was a former deacon and longtime choir member and also a member of the worship team. He also was an avid sportsman and belonged to many sportsman’s organizations and clubs. Tom was also active in his community and served as a constable for Marlborough Township.
Along with his wife, he is survived by his children: Diana Delaney Ajello and her husband David, of Rockville Centre, NY, and his son: Thomas George Delaney III and his wife, Collette of Downingtown, PA; his adopted son: Thomas Lydick and his wife Sharon Weinberg of Norristown; and his beloved grandchildren: Madelyn and Jack Ajello, Annie and Brenna Delaney, and Erik and Amanda Lydick. Tom is also survived by his sister, Sharon Delaney of Phoenixville.
All are invited to a viewing from 9 – 10 am with a service at 10 am, on Saturday, at the Calvary Baptist Church, 1380 S. Valley Forge Rd., Lansdale, PA 19464. He will be laid to rest in Whitemarsh Memorial Park in Ambler immediately following the service in church.
