Theresa Irene Messics

Theresa I. Messics, 91, of Hellertown, passed away November 22, 2015. She was the widow of Louis Messics. Born in Riegelsville, she was a daughter of the late Charles & Rose (Donchez) Bartakovits. Theresa began her career as a bank teller. She was a homemaker, truck patch farmer, and a lunch lady for the Saucon Valley School District. She was also a Cub Scout Den Mother. Theresa was a member of St. Theresa’s Catholic Church, Hellertown. Surviving: Children: Theresa, wife of David Koller, of Hellertown; Diane, wife of Joseph DiRado, of Bethlehem; and Alan Messics, and his wife, Karen, of Norristown; grandchildren: Nicole & Christopher DiRado; and Madison & Cole Messics. She was pre-deceased by a son, Louis F. “Butch” Messics; sisters: Mary Geld; Anna Considine; Margaret Witz; Helen Lukacs; and brothers: Joseph, Edward, Louis, Charles, Frank & Stephen Bartakovits. Services will be at 11 AM on Wednesday at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown. A viewing will be from 10-11 AM. Interment will follow at Holy Saviour Cemetery.
