Tamako Abe

Tamako Abe, 86, formerly of Macungie, passed away November 6, 2015. Born on December 25, 1928 in Mukden, Manchuria, she was a daughter of the late Kiyoshi and Ai Abe. She married and arrived in the United States in 1952. Tamako worked for the former Western Electric of Allentown for 35 years. Upon retiring, she flourished in her art, attending the Baum School of Art. She was especially adept at watercolors and stained glass. She was a member of the Cosmopolitan Club of Allentown, sharing her culture with others. Surviving are children: Deborah, widow of John P. Michael, of Orefield; Paulette, wife of Murray D. Hamilton, of Savannah, GA; and Kim A. Abe, of Allentown. Services will be private. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, is in charge of arrangements.
