Stephen Szegda, 93, formerly of Green Lane, died January 18, 2011 at the Frederick Mennonite Community. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen V. Szegda. Born in Boyertown, he was a son of the late John and Pauline Szegda. He worked for the former Brunner’s Bakery in East Greenville, as a delivery driver, and then for the former Bauman’s Cleaners in East Greenville as a cleaner. Following that, he was an antique dealer for many years in the Green Lane area. Stephen served our country honorably in the Army during WW II in North Africa and Italy. Surviving is a son Stephen J. Szegda and his wife Kathryn of Wilmington, DE; and two grandchildren, Christine and Gregory. He was pre-deceased by a brother Michael and a sister Helen. Services: Saturday, 10:30 a.m., Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St., Pennsburg. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg.
