Stephen Burkit

Stephen Burkit, 68, of Kutztown, died September 14, 2016. He was the husband of the late Joan (Powers) Wells. Born in Ft. Hill, he was a son of the late William and Mary (Hankulich) Burkit. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at the former Bethlehem Steel Corp and then was a heavy equipment Operator. He is survived by his siblings: Dolores Kuronya of Washington, and Ronald of Hellertown; and nieces and nephews, and he was predeceased by siblings: Edward, Maryann, William, John, and Gerald. Services: Memorial, 12 PM, Monday,Falk Funeral Home, 1418 Main St., Hellertown. Gather at the funeral home from 11AM. Interment will follow in Hellertown Union Cemetery.
