Stephen Allen "Steve" Benson

Stephen Allen Benson “Steve”, 72, of Abington, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 15th, 2025. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Harvey and Barbara (Jenkinson) Benson. He was the beloved husband of 45 years to Susan (Frutchey) Benson. A 1972 graduate of Abington Senior High School, he learned how to operate printing presses and in 1975 he established Benson Printing. He also owned Keswick Motors in Glenside. His passion was spending time with his family, travelling with Susan, spending time in Ocean City, NJ where they first met, and working on cars. He belonged to the Valley Forge Mustang Club. Steve was a former member of the Glenside Chamber of Commerce where he had served on the Board of Directors. He was an avid NASCAR fan and car lover, and he loved animals.

Along with his wife, Steve is survived by his sons: Drew Benson and his wife Kelly of Elkins Park, PA and Brock Benson and his wife Cheryl of Abington, PA; his grandchildren: Mya, Gavin, Brian, Charlotte, Bradley, Aubrey; and a sister, Christine Fabian of Arvada, CO.

Family and friends are welcome to visit on August 1, 2025 at 9am at Abington Presbyterian Church 1082 Old York Rd Abington, PA 19001, with a service to follow at 11am. Steve will be laid to rest privately in New Goshenhoppen UCC Cemetery, East Greenville, PA.
