Sonja Zeigler Stine, 87, of Perkiomenville, was called to the Lord on December 22, 2025, at her residence.
Born on January 3, 1938, in Wayne, Ohio, Sonja was the daughter of the late Robert E. Harmon and Clara Ellen Reese Harmon. After graduating high school she entered a program to learn dental assisting. She worked as a dental assistant for many years but loved to tell her grandchildren the story of how, as a teenager, she worked at a duck farm. Sonja was known for her strong will and kind heart. She was determined, independent, and steadfast, yet deeply caring and generous; always willing to help anyone in need. To her grandchildren, she was lovingly known as "Nana," a role she cherished. Nana spent countless days with her grandchildren during their early years and continued to share a close and active
presence in their lives. Sonja was also very patriotic.
Sonja enjoyed traveling and shopping and she was always up for an adventure. In her later years she especially enjoyed being a passenger on long drives in the car with anyone going anywhere! Her faith was important to her, and she loved Jesus deeply. Sonja also had a fondness for collecting, particularly dolls, clothing, and hats. She loved the color purple and anything in leopard and cheetah print.
She is survived by her daughters, Tanya Malec and her husband, George, and Sister Mary Colette (Order of Poor Clares); son, Scott Zeigler and his wife Amy; brother, Gary Harmon; and her sister, Linda Ruble and her husband, Clifford. She will also be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Joe Malec and his wife Rachel, Colette Malec, Shane Zeigler and his mother Donna, Tatiana Popov and her husband, Sergiu, Maryna Malec, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ryan, Gunner, Troy, Alexandr, and Denys.
In addition to her parents, Sonja was preceded in death by her husband, J. David Stine and her granddaughters, Brittany and Ashley.
A viewing will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Falk Funeral Homes and Crematory, 163 Main Street, Pennsburg, Pennsylvania 18073, followed by a service at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be private.
