Sharyn Carol Seddon

Sharyn Carol Seddon (Geyer), age 77, of Perkiomenville, Pennsylvania passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her children and husband on February 20th, 2025.

After graduating from North Penn High School in 1965 she become a receptionist. During this time, Sharyn imagined a career devoted to educating and caring for other people’s children while she stayed at home to raise her own.

Sharyn met her future husband, Herb, at Saint Marie’s club in Lansdale on Halloween in 1969. They were married several months later in 1970 and raised two beautiful children - Christine and Kimberly.

After the birth of her first daughter, Sharyn decided to pursue her dream of starting a daycare business and became a successful entrepreneur. Initially she babysat other children and eventually grew her business into a Pennsylvania state licensed daycare in 1989. Sharyn managed her daycare business for over 40 years and was a role model for hundreds of children with her daily enthusiasm, joyful demeanor and boundless optimism.

Sharyn was always up for a game of canasta, water walking at the YMCA, watching family feud and country westerns, enjoying action movies, and going to restaurants with friends and family. However, her greatest fulfillment came from cherishing moments with her family and watching her children and grandchildren grow up.

Sharyn is predeceased by her parents, Patrick and Jacqueline McGuire of Lansdale.

Sharyn is survived by her husband Herb, their daughters: Christine Seddon-Grofik and her husband, George Grofik of Larchmont, NY, and Kimberly Fossa and her husband, Frank of Easton, PA; grandchildren: Benjamin, Jack, and Ava Fossa and Colette Grofik; and her siblings: Jeffrey McGuire and his wife, Rosemary, John McGuire and his wife, Susan, and Jerry McGuire and his wife, Cindy.

All are invited to gather at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Rd., Zieglerville, PA 19492 on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025. Viewing times are from 10:00am 12:00pm with a church service to follow, at 12:00pm. Private luncheon to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested in her memory to Womenheart, an organization whose mission is to educate and support women with heart disease.
