Sharon Sue Mcparland

Sharon S. McParland, 81, of Red Hill passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 17th, 2023. Born in Charleston, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late William and Lillian Trexler. Although she was primarily a stay-at-home mom, she also briefly owned a Christian Book Store, worked for the U.S Census Bureau and in Real Estate in the area. Sharon was very active in the Christian community, in both the Protestant and Catholic Church. For years, she was an active member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where she loved teaching CCD /Bible classes for kids. She also volunteered as a Eucharistic Minister and Friendly Visitor at Pennsburg Manor through the church. Later, she was an active member of the former Lighthouse Gospel Tabernacle, where she also served on the Intercessory Prayer Team. Sharon also loved trips to the ocean, butterflies and was a die-hard Eagles Fan.

Sharon is survived by her children: Eric Ryan and his wife Maureen, and Jeff Ryan, both of New Jersey, Shannon, wife of Andy Orr of Aston, PA, and Chris McParland of Pennsburg; and her grandchildren: Dylan, Emily, Christopher, Daniel, Caleb, and Nathan. Sharon is also survived by her beloved sister, Donna Stewart, of Albrightsville, PA. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Michael Ryan.
