Sara Balmer

Sara K. Balmer Sara K. Balmer, 93, formerly of Pennsburg, died October 2, 2007. She was the widow of Millard E. Balmer. Born in Green Lane, she was a daughter of the late Warren and Lizzie (Koch) Shanley. She was a secretary for over 10 years at the former Hill Financial, retiring in 1975. She was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church, Pennsburg. She was a member of the Upper Perkiomen Senior Center, the Golden Agers, a Life Member of the Perkiomen Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, a former member of the BPW, and a long time volunteer at the Thrift Shop and as a driver for the Meals on Wheels Program. She is survived by a son, John, of Red Hill, 2 grandsons: Gregg and Glenn Miller, and a great-granddaughter, Rayne Miller. She was pre-deceased by an infant daughter, a great-granddaughter, Laney Miller, and 4 sisters: Marie Shanley, Ada Snyder, Myrtle DeWalt, and Kathryn Beard.
