Samuel Zaro

Samuel J. Zaro, 93, of Alliance, NE, and formerly of Macungie, died March 27, 2013. He was the widower of Amelia (Marino) Zaro. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late Antonio and Antoinette (Guildanaro) Zaro. Samuel served in the United States Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart. He is survived by his children, Paul Zaro, and his wife, Betty, of Rockingham, NC; and David Zaro, and his wife, Lee, of Alliance, NE; his brother, Joe Zaro, of Glenside; a sister, Marie McConnell, of Philadelphia; 7 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be at 11 AM on Wednesday, April 3rd at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, Pennsburg. Friends may call from 10-11 AM at church. Burial will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
