Samuel Morgan

December 14, 1942 — February 24, 2015

Samuel S. Morgan Jr., 72, of Barto and formerly of Hereford, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on February 24, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie (Seip) Morgan. They celebrated 40 years of marriage this past September. Born in Red Hill, he was a son of the late Samuel S. and Gladys (Alexander) Morgan Sr. In high school, he was a member of the Future Farmers of America. He began his career as an auctioneer in his senior year of high school when he worked on Mondays at the Perkiomenville Sale where he was an apprentice to John Dulin. Sam owned and operated Morgan Auctioneering at the Upper Milford Fire Company for the past 54. years. His business is being continued by his son Samuel III. He was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church and a life member of the Upper Milford Fire Company which was an honor that was recently bestowed upon him. Surviving with his wife are his two children, Samuel III and Sherri, of Bally, and Heather, wife of Charles "Michael" Spiess, of Pennsburg; grandchildren: Nicholas, Phyllis, and Kaitlyne Morgan; and siblings: Gloria and Ronald Morgan. He was predeceased by siblings: Gladys and Terry. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church where all are invited to gather from 9 AM. Inurnment will be held privately at a later date. Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, 1325 Klinerd Rd, Pennsburg, PA 18073.
