Ruth Ellen Gery

Ruth Ellen Gery, 96, of East Greenville, died peacefully on October 22, 2026 at Pottstown Hospital. Born on July 4, 1930, in Red Hill, PA, Ruth was the daughter of the late Harvey and Stella (Wentling) Hillegass. She was the beloved wife of the late Charles H. Gery. Ruth work at the former Pants Factory, Red Hill; Plumber Precision, Pennsburg; EMICO Co., Perkasie; and Knolls, East Greenville. She will be profoundly missed by her family and friends, who will remember her for her love of puzzles and Bingo, and her warm spirit that touched the lives of everyone around her.

Ruth is survived by her children: Dana (Joanne) Gery, Doreen (Robert) Mercer, and Dennis (Cindy) Gery; grandchildren: Chad, Ben, Danny, Brooke, Brittany, Troy, and Randy; great grandchildren: Izaiah, Kinzley, Aidan, Avery, Addison, Harbyn, Savannah Grace, Bryce, Mason, Briley, Caleb, Brayden, Brandt, Clark, Ariyan and Sona.

Ruth had a deep commitment to giving back to the community, making significant contributions to the Diabetes Foundation, a cause that was dear to her. She touched many lives and will be lovingly remembered for her kindness and compassion. Ruth was preceded in death by two great-grandsons: Colby & Daulton as well as her brothers: Paul, Milton, Richard, and Ronald, and her sister, Peggy.

Graveside services will be held private at New Goshenhoppen Cemetery, 1070 Church Rd, East Greenville.
