Ruth Tevillia Anna Dieterly, 84, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully at her residence on October 30, 2020. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 64 years, Paul Edward Dieterly. Born in Allentown, she was the daughter of the late Dalton E. and Evelyn I. (Renninger) Glass. Ruth worked at Ann’s Restaurant in Hellertown for 6 years as well as several other local businesses. She was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene, in Bethlehem, where her duties consisted of Sunday school teacher, singing in the choir and Missionary President. Later in life Ruth and Paul made Ebenezer New Reformed Church her place of worship where she also loved singing in the choir. Her main joys in life was her belief in God and caring for her family. She religiously read the Bible every day and faithfully attended church until her health started to fail her. Spending time with her family, cooking and taking care of them gave her tremendous pleasure. For over 20 years she always looked forward to going with the family to the Northeast Nazarene Family Camp in Maryland. Even though she was very small in stature, everyone considered her the matriarch of the family. Surviving are her loving children: Mark Dieterly, Husband of Susan, of Palmerton; Noah Dieterly, of Hellertown; Arthur Dieterly, husband of Dottie, of Hellertown; Mary Dieterly and her boyfriend Fred, of Hellertown; Tonya Koch, wife of Chad, of Orefield; She was very proud of her 7 Grandchildren: Wayne, Sheila, Tomas, Vanessa, Angela, Melissa, and Tyler; And also blessed with 13 Great Grandchildren: Jordan, Brandon, Kaley, Tomas Jr., Hayden, Layla, Lessi, Emily, Zachary, Morgan, Evan, Luna, and Max. In addition she is survived by her niece, Marcy, and nephew: Barry. Along with her husband Paul, she was predeceased by brothers: Harold, and Donald. Service: Family and friends are invited to a calling period from 10-11AM, on Thursday November 5, 2020 at Ebenezer New Reformed Church, 3221 Bingen Rd, Bethlehem, followed by a service at 11AM. Interment will follow at Bingen Sunrise Memorial Cemetery. Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Hellertown, are in charge of arrangements.
