Ruth Damon

Ruth Joan (Frazier) Damon 79, formerly of Northeast Harbor, ME and Delran, NJ, born December 16, 1932, was granted angel wings on December 08, 2012. Her final days were spent surrounded by family at Gracedale Nursing Home in Nazareth PA. Ruth was born in Lisbon Falls, Maine to parents Charles Frederick Frazier and Maizie Jane Holt of Northeast Harbor, ME. She graduated from Gilman High School in Northeast Harbor and shortly thereafter married high school sweetheart Leroy “Steve” Damon of Seal Harbor, with whom she had three children. Ruth was a stay at home Mom while her children were young and had lived in the greater Philadelphia area since 1970. She retired from RMP Rice & Holman in 1995 after 25 years of service. She loved to go on vacations with dear friends Howard & Emily Wills and Ronny & Pat Spearing. She was an avid Square dancer and enjoyed going to Phillies games for many years. Ruth is survived by her children Steven Wayne Damon and wife Marlene of Waretown NJ, Frederick Maxwell Damon and partner Rhett Commodaro of Springtown PA, and Lauri Damon-Smith and husband William of Warminster PA; Her brother Robert Frazier of Bar Harbor; nieces Cheryl DuLong of Seal Harbor and Beth Jewell of Lamoine; nephews William DuLong of Bucksport, Michael Frazier of Bar Harbor & Sherman Damon of Ellsworth; three granddaughters and ten great grandchildren.
