Ronald James Leitgeb, 85, passed away on January 20, 2026, in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Born on October 14, 1940, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Viola Christman and Stanley Kratzer, he was raised on the city's East Side.

Ronald's journey began in a humble setting in Hanover Acres. After graduation, he proudly served in the United States Army from April 5, 1960, to May 4, 1962, followed by six years in the U.S. Army Reserves. His service exemplified his commitment to duty and honor-traits that resonated throughout his life. After leaving the military, Ronald served as a police officer for Salisbury Township for 14 years. He later retired from the Quick Service Cab Company in Allentown and worked part-time at True Value in Allentown and Hellertown for many years.

In his spare time, Ron enjoyed bowling at Mountainville Bowling Center and the Rose Bowl in Allentown. He also loved playing cards, especially Pinochle, and spent many days with friends at the senior center. He was a loyal fan, always rooting for his Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies.

A loving father, Ronald leaves behind his cherished children: daughter Natasha Nash and her husband Chad; son Christopher Leitgeb and his wife Christine; and son Timothy Leitgeb. He is also survived by his sister, Barbara Beaver; his grandchildren Dresden, Addison, Ansley, Spencer, Avery, and Ella; and his close friend and ex-wife, Nancy Leitgeb.

His warmth and kindness touched many lives, and he will be remembered for his steadfast support and love for his family. Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Viola (Leitgeb) Christman and Stanley Kratzer; his stepfather, Irvin Christman, who raised him; his brothers, Richard Kratzer and Larry Christman; and his daughter-in-law, Alexandra Leitgeb.

Ronald's family will hold a private celebration of life at a later date.
