Ronald Hillegass

Ronald B. Hillegass, 70, of East Greenville, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2013. He was the beloved husband of Lucille F. (Kurtz) Hillegass. They celebrated 46 years of marriage in April. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harvey and Stella (Wentling) Hillegass. Early in life, he worked for several area knitting mills. Following their closing, he worked for Caloric in Topton. Prior to his retirement in 2005, he was a metal fabricator for Cook Specialty in Green Lane. He was a member of the East Greenville Fire Co, and Great Swamp Fish & Game. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and bird and squirrel watching. Along with his wife, he is survived by a son: Brian and his wife Christine, of Macungie; two daughters: Jolene Simkins, with whom he resided, and Colette Berry of Shillington; and two grandchildren: Austin and Dylan Hillegass; siblings: Ruth Gery, and Peggy Ulmer; and a sister-in-law, Marie. He was pre-deceased by his brothers: Milton, Paul, and Richard. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 9, at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 163 Main St, Pennsburg, PA 18073. All are invited to gather at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service begins. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the American Diabetes Association, P.O.
