Roland D. Cawley

Roland D. "Chub" Cawley, 85 of Hellertown passed away June 11, 2022. He was the husband of the late Elaine Faye (Brader) Cawley. Born in Hellertown, he was a son of the late Charles and Edith (Ruth) Cawley. He served his country honorably in the US Army. He began working at the Union Cemetery in Hellertown when he was 18 and went on to become the Cemetery Superintendent. His career spanned 55 years before retiring. Roland was a member of New Jerusalem Lutheran Church, Hellertown, and a past member of the former Lower Saucon Lutheran Church. He was also a member of the American Legion Post #397 in Hellertown. Surviving are daughters: Faye, wife of Gary Kichline, and Wanda Luybli, all of Wassergass; grandchildren: Kenda, wife of Kyle Bartholomew, Ashley, wife of Thomas Messics, Brett Kichline, and Allee, wife of Greg Nolf; great-grandchildren: Payson, Keelan & Kaleb; siblings: Lynette Yingling, of Richmond, VA, John Cawley, and his wife, Annelie, of Bernville, PA, and Wayne Cawley, and his wife, MaryLou, of Northeast, PA. He was pre-deceased by siblings: Nancy and Lorrain. All are invited to a viewing on Friday, June 17th from 10-11AM with services at 11AM at the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main Street, Hellertown.
