Robert M Yost

Robert M. Yost, Jr., passed away January 13, 2022, at Saucon Valley Manor, Hellertown, PA. He was 83 years old. He was born in New York City on December 19, 1938, to the late Marie, (Schweitzer) and Robert Yost Sr. In November of 1957 he married his childhood sweetheart, Mary Therese (Ferry) and they shared 64 years of marriage together.

Robert lettered in 3 sports, graduating from CCHS in 1957. He was inducted into their Hall of Fame. He served in the US Army at Fort Meyers, VA, where he also participated in all sports. He was in the Insurance Business for over 40 years as a Manager At Monumental Life, MD and later Erie Insurance, Hellertown. He was the Past President of Living Memorial, coached Baseball, basketball and football, where he also started Punt Pass and Kick, And put up the first Goal Posts at Living Memorial all in Southern Lehigh. He umpired for PIAA for 40 years. Was a life member of The Jaycees, NRA, and YMCA in Allentown, PA. His free time was spent hunting, fishing and all outdoor activities. He was a master gardener. He loved all sports, & especially enjoyed his cabin in Port Allegany. He also successfully hunted big game in several of the western states.

Grandchildren: Christopher & wife Michelle, of Blandon, PA, Lauren & Husband Timothy Keller, of Clearfield, PA, Ryan & wife Caitlin, of Hellertown, PA Great Grand-daughters: Emma & Sophia of Blandon, PA, Daniel Morrow & wife Hollee, Cindy & husband Jeff Allen. Dennis Ferry and wife Maxine, of Cookeville, TN. He was predeceased by his Sister Lillian (Morrow) Knies of Ormond Beach, FL.
