Robert Wesley Simpson, 70, of Seminary Street, Pennsburg, died December 6, 2010 at home after a long illness. He was the husband of Nancy (Gordon) Simpson, formerly of Chester. They were married 44 years this past September. Born in Chester, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Dorothy May (Hart) Simpson. He was an army veteran of Vietnam. He started his career at Scott Paper Company, Chester, as a machine mechanic. He then worked for several companies within the meat packing industry. He was currently employed as a greeter at Wal-Mart, in Harleysville. He was a life member of the Lenni Heights Fire Company, and a former member of the Aston-Beechwood Fire Co., both of Delaware County. He was a former member of the Pennsburg and Red Hill Fire Companies. He was a loving family man.
Surviving with his wife, are sons: Harry, and his wife, Adrienne, of Barto; and Robert Jr., serving in the US Navy, stationed in Italy; a granddaughter, Mary Lynn Simpson, of Pennsburg; and step-grandsons, Dominick, Anthony, and Dylan Wolfe, of Red Hill.
