Robert H. Detwiler, 91, of Hatfield, passed away peacefully on July 12, 2016. Born in Fricks, PA, he was the son of the late Roosevelt and Anna (Herber) Detwiler. He was the beloved husband of Catherine (Kriebel) Detwiler. They celebrated 71 years of marriage last December. He was a County Supervisor for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania Department of Labor Tax and Accounting Services from 1954 until his retirement in 1989. He was a graduate of Hatfield High School, class of 1944, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Hatfield. He was also member of the Shiloh-MacCalla Lodge #558 of the F. & A. M. Along with his wife, he is survived by three daughters: Dona Cuppett of Telford, Patricia, wife of Dr. Theodore Hirokawa of Scottsville, NY, and Wendy, wife of Hank Clare of Sumneytown; grandchildren: Ben, Melissa, Tyler, Cozette, Mark, and Amanda; and great grandchildren: Haley, Dylan, and Noah; and a sister Doris Landis of Towamencin, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Detwiler of Souderton. He was predeceased by his brother Marvin Detwiler and son-in-law Kenneth Eichenberg. Services will be announced at a later date.
