Rita Maykut (Love)

Rita Maykut 96, of Hellertown, PA, passed away peacefully on July 9, 2024. Born in Hackettstown, NJ to John and Mary Love, Rita was the youngest of 10 children. Rita was preceded in death in 2014 by her husband of 64 years, Frank Maykut. Rita and Frank deeply loved their family which includes their 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 4 (soon to be 5) great grandchildren.

During her lifetime, Rita was passionate about gardening, baking apple pies and watching a Phillies game. Rita was deeply involved with her local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and loved talking about the Bible. Resilient and independent, Rita lived a full life, rich with friends, family and rewarding community work.

Surviving are her children: Sharon Buntain, Pamela Roman (Gregory) and Timothy Maykut (Paige). Grandchildren: Ryan Buntain, Gregory Buntain, Alexander Roman, Olivia Maiorisi (Roman), Hannah Maykut, Keegan Maykut and Emma Maykut. Great grandchildren: Atticus, Walker, Wesley and Walter Buntain.
