Richard W. Yeakel Sr., 77, of Hellertown, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2011, surrounded by his family. He was the beloved companion of Jane E. Yonney. Born in Williams Twp, he was a son of the late Wallace and Julia (Bryfogle) Yeakel. He served his country honorably in the Army. He retired from the former Bethlehem Steel Corp, where he was a foreman in the Electric Furnace Division. He was a member of the Elk’s Lodge in Easton. Survivors: Companion; sons, Richard and his wife Sharon of Easton, and Ronald of Bethlehem; daughters, Debra Kneiss of Ballietsville, Darlene White of Hellertown, and Doreen, wife of Adam Vogt, of Schuylkill Haven; Jane’s daughters, Barbara, Mary Ann, and Sharon; eight grandchildren; a great granddaughter; and Sisters, Jeanette Shanda of Easton, Evelyn Sesulka of Steel City, and Joyce Reph of Bethlehem Twp. He was pre-deceased by a brother Stewart, and a sister Geraldine. Services: 11 am, Monday, at Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, 1418 Main St, Hellertown. Call on Monday from 10 – 11.
