Richard Gerhard

April 21, 1924 — February 4, 2011

Richard S. Gerhard, 86, of Brick Tavern Road, Quakertown, died February 4, 2011. He was the companion of Emma Richards. Born in Clayton, PA he was a son of the late Owen and Rosa (Schultz) Gerhard. He was a dairy farmer. He was a member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, and the Lehigh Valley Dairy Assn. Surviving: Companion; Sons: Samuel, and his wife, Sherry, of Reading; David, and his wife, Gail, of Palm; and John, and his wife, Gloria, of Oley; grandchildren, Steven and Amber Gerhard; a step-grandchild, Julian Castaneda; great-grandchildren, Bianca, Nicholas, and Lars Gerhard; step-great-grandchildren, Isabel and Benjamin Castaneda; and a sister in law Betty Gerhard. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Frances, and brothers, Paul and Robert. Services: Memorial Services were held on Monday at 1 PM at the Palm Schwenkfelder Church, Palm. He was laid to rest in the church cemetery. The Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Pennsburg, was entrusted with his arrangements.
