Richard H. Compton, 87, of Green Lane, died October 2, 2009. He was the husband of the late Helen (Blanchard) Compton. Born in Bustleton, he was a son of the late William and Anne (Slocum) Compton. He served his country honorably in the Army during WWII. He and his wife owned and operated Compton Products in Nasonville, RI for many years until retiring in 1965. He was a former member of #13 F&A.M., Woonsocket, RI. Surviving are daughters, Priscilla, wife of Howard Crafford of Maine; Patricia Rogler and Helen Busby, both of Massachusetts; and Nancy, wife of Merrill Derstine of Harleysville; sisters, Grace Best, of Topsfield, MA; and Helen, wife of Benjamin Slovak, of Cape May Courthouse, NJ; six grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. He was pre-deceased by brothers Donald, Norman, and William; and sister, Mildred. Services are private. Arrangements are by the Falk Funeral Homes & Crematory, Inc., Pennsburg.
